CURSO DE NUTRICIÓN NEONATAL

Sensory babies education is a must for all NICU staff. I loved how it brings into focus how NICU and early life experiences influences the person. Sensory, motor and cognition are so interdependent and intertwined it's important as therapists working with infants and families we recognise the need to have a good basis and understanding of the development and interplay of the physiologic sensory motor behavioural systems of the infant and their careers.

In doing the sensory beginnings course, I was reminded why I’m a neonatal OT, and Emily and Lindsay reignited my passion for promoting, and striving to understand, the sensory experience of the infant.

I gained more in-depth knowledge about neuro-biology (if only I could remember it all! 🙄) and learnt all sorts about the hierarchy of processing.

Sensory Beginnings is my course of choice for any doctor interested in Neonatal Neurodevelopment and Early Intervention.

Understanding sensory development is the foundation for a good quality assessment of a high risk infant, and Sensory Beginnings is the best course in this area, extremely informative and tremendously practical.

I love the knowledge, experience and passion that both Emily and Lindsay are able to share, helping to put across evidence based and researched information in a way that is relatable to my work as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. Studying with them reignited the love for my role in working with young babies, and supporting others to do the same.

Emily and Lindsay’s knowledge and passion about sensory development is reflected in the way they deliver the course and communicate, making it really easy to understand.

Being a Neonatal Nurse, this course made a huge impact on the way I care for the babies.

The Sensory Beginnings course has completely enhanced and changed my current practice as an OT. Even with knowledge on sensory integration and the development of sensory systems, this course has given me a greater appreciation for what young infants experience in those crucial early days.

Thinking about how the 'little things' I do actually have a big impact on the babies in my care. For example, something as simple as how loud I speak, being more aware of the stress that causes babies and the impact that has on their development.

The course as a whole has given my a lot of time to reflect on what i do and how i can better my practice to provide better all round care to the babies and families.

Invaluable! My heart is singing after attending Sensory Beginnings and I am so excited to share everything that I learnt with the families and colleagues I work with.

It’s all been useful learning about how much early experiences impact on the ability to try new experiences later on in life. Even being picked up and moved in a way that makes rides a frightening thought.

The whole course so far has been fantastic & goes hand in hand with the NBO. I feel even better equipped to give parents an even better experience.
